I have always had some anxiety, but recently, the last 6 weeks something has tipped and it has gone to the extreme. My PCP, put me on 50mg Zoloft. I have never wanted to take this kind of med. But at this point i needed help. By the third day, i was so sick to my stomach, i never vomitted. But 24/7 felt like it. She then cut it back to 25mg. No change, couldn;t eat or go to work. She changed it 10mg prozac, and then up to 20mg. Still nasuea, but not as severe as the zoloft.
My PCP then decided I needed more help then she could offer and refered me to Psychiatrist. She thinks its GAD. She is not a fan of Prozac. I am now in the process of weening of of it and am going to change to Celexa. I also have klonopin for during the day and tradazone for night.
I know everyone is different, but I want to know what do you do to hang on when the drugs that are supposed to be helping you are so hard to get straight. Side effects, and it takes weeks sometimes to even tell if it will improve or even help.
