I started having panic attacks 2 weeks ago and the doctor started me on Xanax .5mg 4x daily and then "as needed" for attacks. When I have a serious panic attack, I take an additional .5mg which seems to make the panic attacks manageable, especially if I can add in some deep breathing, etc. But I have been reading that some of you can actually eliminate the panic attack with a dose of Xanax. I am curious what quantity dosages some of you are using to eliminate the attack. Appreciate your feedback and yes, I will be consulting with my doctor on Monday also. Blessings!
