Right now I need two or three .5mg pills to get through a day and get some sleep. It has been two weeks already. Anybody weigh in on how much is too much?

Not me, but my dad was on that med for 30 years using 3 mg every single night. He could not get of it nor could have slept without it. He was never able to withdraw. That was only med he used.
On the other hand, my son (19 then) was on it for over one year, only 0.5 mg. It was helping him sleep but it was not great help at that dosage. After three months he noticed that using it is a must but not as successful as it was when began therapy with it.
He was on Zoloft at the same time. Withdrawal wasn't pleasant but he did it. He isn't on meds presently.

Thanks for info. Only needed 1 this morning. So far so good. Doc may switch me to klonopin. Need to find out if stronger or less dependency or just in general why switch.

That's why, instead of me giving you input, decide for yourself preferably to ask your doctor right questions and listen for the answer.
These are very serious medications and your pre-knowledge is highly recommended.

Thanks!! Have dependency concerns even though I have never had dependency issues in the past. Just need to feel like I still have the control
