I also found taking meds helped.

I was on Effexor for about three years. During that time the Panic symptoms were relieved enough for me to get some actual work done in therapy!

I also used Xanax when needed - not much, but usually for travel.

With some hard work, a good team, and taking the time to really work on yourself you can beat this thing!

Nothing is an instant cure .... nothing!

But, time, attention, assistance and dedication can do it.

When I was on Prozac, it completely eliminated my panic attacks. My doctor switched me to Wellbutrin almost a year ago and the panic attacks have returned with a vengeance. Argh! I am definitely going to tell her I want to go back on Prozac.

I also take Ativan which helps but 1 use to be enough for me and now I have to take 2 or 3 sometimes 4!!
