It seems to be working somewhat for me, but it took a long time (at least 6 weeks) to reach full effect. At 15mg/day, it does seem to block the panic attacks, but it doesn't do much for my general anxiety level (or at least I hope it doesn't because if what I'm experiencing is reduced anxiety, then I am in trouble:ohmy:) I also have developed bad insomnia, but I cannot say whether that is attributable to the medication or not.

My feeling thus far is that it has been less effective for me than Paxil, but that may just be because I have more life stressors now than when I was on the Paxil. I hope it works for you. I have heard some other people swear by it.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this? From what I can tell, I seem to be one of the relatively few people for whom Lexapro has not provided that much relief.

Further update: I have been on 20 mg/day of Lexapro for about a month now and it, along with therapy, seem to be helping. Hard to say how much is related to the Lexapro versus other factors, but at least I am feeling somewhat better.

And that's ALL that counts. If those two factors are working for you, they work. We all have to find our own combinations to make things work for each and everyone of us. Take care......Ed
