Just started Prozac a few days ago 13 Years, 5 Months ago

I just started Prozac 20 mgs a few days. I responded very well last time I was on it. Well it's only been a few days as I said and already I have started getting a lot of anxiety and minor panic attacks. They come in waves. I can't remember if this happened to me last time I started it. Is it normal for symptoms to get worse than what they were when first starting a medicine?

Yes, the first week or so it is common for things to "go backwards." To give it a fair trial you will need to stay on it for 4 to 6 weeks. Hopefuly it will not get any worse for you and you can stick it out, but if it becomes a problem you should consult your Dr before quiting.

Thank you remo! I think it's the good ol' what if's antagonizing it lol. I just left the chat room and spoke to a great person in there, took my mind off of it very quickly. I love this site!
