Been Away for Awhile

It has been awhile since I have been able to get on here. I had severe indigestion in April and finally went to get it checked out. I had an endoscopy and ultrasound on my liver and gall bladder and it was discovered I had h pyloric infection in my stomach. After a week's worth of 2 antibiotics I was feeling better. I was prescribed an acid reducer as well and will be able to stop that soon. Now, however, I am having chest pains so I went to the cardiologist for tests. A stress test is on the agenda for next week. It could be stress-related since I lost my parents so close together, but I have a history of high cholesterol and am unable to take medication for it because of side effects. So I want to know for sure what is going on.

The good news is my husband has decided to go to church with me. I have been praying for over a decade for this. I am elated! He wanted to go to his old church, the one he grew up in and where his brother and wife go. So I left the church I have attended all my life and I left my position as facilitator of Bible studies there and followed my husband's wishes.  Our first Sunday in church together was this past Easter Sunday and we even go on Wednesday nights!

God blessed my obedience to my husband and after attending for one week, I was asked to facilitate Bible studies there. Wahoo! Glory to God! But the best good news of all is we are now grandparents-to-be. Our granddaughter is due in late October. I feel so blessed! :)

Congratulations on beccoming grandparents! Also on you getting your husband to attend church. I am struggling with religion currently but am somewhat interested in getting back into going to church.

HEY!!! That's some great news...well not the part about not being well, but so glad you are feeling better and even better about your husband and becoming a grandmom :) I've got some great news myself to tell you...my husband has accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on December 13th!!! It was after many, many years of praying and waiting on God's perfect timing. God is good! Sending many hugs and blessings.

Loves October, too funny! I hope she comes in October now. I love 1 peter 3:1, too. GZA, I would like to humbly suggest you read the book of John for one month in the NIV or New Living Translation. You can find either on www.biblegateway.com to read for free. Keep a journal and pen handy and ask God to speak to your heart as you read. Jot down anything and everything that comes to mind and if there are any questions, pray about them to God. At the end of one month, I'd love to hear what He has revealed to you. And please remember that God never shames us or condemns us so if you start feeling those things, they are not from God. God convicts our hearts so we will be aware of any sin so that we can ask Him for forgiveness and help, and He wipes the slate clean. We get do-overs! Hallelujah! But He doesn't shame us. The Bible said Jesus went to the cross despising the shame. Shame is from humans, not from God.

Honeyface, so good to hear about your husband! Glory to God! If you don't know about it already, there's a great devotional book that my husband liked to read: the special updated edition of My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers:
