Two weeks ago, I spoke with my therapist about treatments. I told her that I'm, unfortunately, a huge skeptic. Those, "picture a happy place" treatments don't really work for me.
I end up kind of rolling my eyes at the idea, and feeling ashamed of myself for not taking it seriously.
She told me that there is another person in her practice that might be able to help me better. Someone trained in EMDR, which she said is a more scientific approach than feel-good, which sounds a little more promising to me.. I've read about it, and have only really taken in the basics. Has anyone else had this treatment? Can you maybe explain it's effect on you and if it helped? Also, if you're a skeptical person by nature too.. (somehow I'm worried I'm the only one
