My younger sister who is 24-year-old girl is showing intense fear in front of a crowd. She is showing this strange behavior since she got a new job. She is not willing to come in front of a crowd. At first we thought it was just a stage fear, but the things are getting serious day by day. Last month we had arranged a birthday party of our mom, she never attend any of our guest, not even participate in the function. Why is she behaving like this? One of my friend told be that this is agoraphobia. He also recommended CBT associated, a treatment clinic in Toronto. Is it really agoraphobia? Then why didn't she show this before? I'm confused. And I never heard about Agoraphobia treatment. what is this treatment all about? Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciable.
