Mondays 5 Years, 1 Month ago
I hate mondays. Today I was feeling a 2 day hangover, and just sick in general. Of course it was really nuts and I had to deal with alot of people. For some reason my anxiety level was high and I found myself flushed and flustered alot. I got over it but at the end of the day I was frustrated with myself that I allowed myself to feel stupid.
I wanted to work out but at the end of the day I just felt the need to plop on the couch and relax. I hate feeling like this. Glad the day is over!

It's late but I just saw this topic. Sundays and Mondays are the WORST for me. One of the things I have done to deal with Monday is I go to the gym FIRST, before work. It tends to help burn off any anxiety that might be there. Haven't had a real bad Monday since.

I just read a comment on another board that "January is the Monday of the year" and I thought about how true that is!

This is the month that it is most important for me to exercise, take care of myself and know that "this too shall pass" -- just like Mondays seem to be for a lot of people!

So you all take extra special care of yourselves for the next few weeks - and soon the days will be getting longer, and the feelings of dread will be subsiding!

Re:Mondays 4 Years, 4 Months ago
Having once suffered from severe depression and agoraphobia, I can say truthfully that being able to get out of bed and face "any" day is a gift from God. There's a verse in God's Word that says, "This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it." I never could understand how I could rejoice in any day since I suffered from panic and depression and social anxiety. But God has taught me through experience that it's because I am not alone--that the Lord goes with me wherever I go and helps me--that I can look forward to getting out of bed every morning and rejoice. My attitude has taken a 180-degree turn.
