Hi Folks -

Just thought I'd start a thread here about "Survivor Stories"!

These are the stories of people who are surviving and thriving in spite of their Panic and Anxiety. For any of you who have an uplifting story like this please feel free to submit it and add it to our database.

These Survivor Stories end up being a real resource for people who are still feeling some of the depressing, despairing and hopeless feelings that all of us battled at one time or another. They're stories and essays and thoughts written from the OTHER side, and are put up here on the Panic Survivor site to encourage people who are coming along in their own recovery.

Blogs are the place for submitting your struggles and your thoughts that may be less than encouraging. Hey, we all go through tough times - even if we're mostly doing great! So the Blog is an excellent place to hash that out. Also, you're welcome to start various threads in all the Forums (except The Oasis Pub) to talk about your struggles, and ask for help, or tips, or a virtual hug!

If you don't see your "Survivor Story" in with the others it may be because we - The Editorial Board - thought it was more of a "here is my struggle" story and we'd like to keep that link dedicated to Survivors!

No judgment, and no need for anyone to feel like you have to be at a certain place in order to be here. But we like to think that this site helps people SURVIVE Panic and Anxiety and that someone who may be having a really tough time could come here and get a real positive shot in the arm (so to speak) from reading about real people who have survived.

Go ahead and jump in with questions, concerns and thoughts on the subject ... and I hope everyone has a really good weekend!

People who experience anxiety disorder should seek a psychiatrist. He will give you advice on how to handle the sickness. he may recommend that get enough sleep. Reduce intake of sugar, foods high in fat and caffeine. You must relax yourself. Breathe in so you have a normal breathing pattern. Because people who have panic attack usually hyperventilate. They breathe out more oxygen than the amount of oxygen they breathe in. You must relax your brain. make yourself happy. Do the things that your fond of doing. Talk to your neighbor, this will relax you. People who have panic attack should control their panic. They must act as if they don't have this sickness. The patient must follow the recommendations of their psychiatrist so they can be well.
