Sounds to me like you're doing a great job of
handling all the stressors in your life right now.
You have every reason to be anxious--my goodness!!
Once you get settled you should start feeling calmer,
and congratulations on your baby. - Anxious Lady

My goodness! Who wouldn't be stressed or anxious going through all that you are going through now. But it sounds as if you are getting through it like a warrior. Good Job! Congrats about the new baby! - apenny620

Many times our thoughts and emotions get mixed up in dreams and reality and we don't know what's going on. My guess is that when you got away from your father and into the condo, you felt great relief from a very stressful living arrangement and the condo was not a change to give you more anxiety but a relief to get away as well as have some independence for your whole family. That's my take anyway. Regarding some of the other things you said, the panic attacks come and go. They can come in the middle of a dreamless sleep so don't try to figure out why it came on you. You have anxiety disorder and like all serious illnesses it can come and go with more fury at some times than others. Your son is the one who is making the adjustment to a new living arrangement. A 2 yr. old doesn't even want a new bed to sleep in much less a new environment. He'll be ok. He is just reacting in a normal way until he settles in. Stay on the site and do a lot of reading. You will get free help here as we all understand how you feel. We have the same illness. Take care..Ed - Irish

Looking for a new house, purchasing it & moving on
top of being pregnant - who wouldn't be stressed? I
can only imagine. Getting out of a house with an
alcoholic parent is a wonderful step though. I've done
it too. It was scary at first, but the peace I found
in my own house changed my life. I knew I wouldn't have
to face chaos everyday of my life.

I'm sure your little one is also stressed by moving
around; a little time in a peaceful environment should
help a lot. Kids are amazingly adept at picking up on
their parent's stress. I still remember parental problems
from when I was very young. Hope the move will relieve
some of your stress and your little one will feel
more relaxed too. If not, please find someone to help
right away. Now 40 plus years later, I wish I had
someone to help me when I was young, instead of
ignoring it until now.

I am glad you will be in your own place before baby
is born - please take it easy on yourself with the
move.
