Thank you all so much for your comments, you have no idea how much they mean to me - especially because you people truly know what I am going through and are wonderful, sincere and true friends. Maybe I am much more emotional now with suffering a lot from PD, maybe it's something else, but I truly can't explain how come all that force from those people united in sorrow and joy influenced me in such a way, it truly changed something inside of me for the better. I am glad if all the good our Patriarch did (more and more information about it surfaces every day and it is really incredible) and all the strength of spirit he had can be of some inspiration to you, too.

You wrote such a wonderful comment George, and it touched my soul so much. Thank you SO MUCH. I do wish there were less distance between all of us, because you are the kindest people I've met so far. It seemed a coincidence that I stumbled upon this site, but more I think about it, the more reason hides behind it and I am very glad I found you. My thoughts will always be with you George too, and with the rest of my dear friends here. If I ever overcome PD to some extent at least, I would surely like to come again to America and meet you all. I am sure that would be one of the most emotional experiences of my life.

Thank you all for reading my blog, because I do think he deserves that more people know about him. We are definitely honored we had him and sad because we lost him. I just wish I knew some things before, but I guess, better late than never. Maybe there is some reason in that, too, why it had to be now.

I wish you all the best in this world and take care! - mel

There are many comments I could make here Mel, but I'm just going to say this was extremely well written and thought out. One of the great mysteries of faith that I always remember are the words of Christ. "The more I make you suffer, the more I love you." All that we think is the opposite of God and that is a long discussion as well. A saint is an ordinary person who does extraordinary things. You described him about as good as it can get when describing a saint. We are all weak Mel, but we somehow make it when at the brink of destruction. You are much stronger than you think. I've said this before and said I hope you find faith as it makes you stronger. Maybe you're on your way. I hope so. Take care....Ed - Irish

Wow! Mel, that was beautiful - what a tribute! I know you started to tell me this the other night when we were talking, but I had no idea how much of an impact his death will have on so many lives. Thank you for sharing. HF - Honeyface

BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL post mel. Thank you so much for sharing his life with us. He seems like he was a true fighter, someone we can ALL look up to. As Gilligan said, it is fortunate that your country had the honor of knowing him. I love the pictures as well. Again mel, you have a way w/ words and this touched my heart.
HUGS,
