Thanks for the comments. My doc and I decided to stop taking the Abilify. I wasn't feeling any better and the side effects sucked! So we might be trying something else. I hate trying out all these meds. Its so frustrating. Sometimes I feel like I'd be better off without any! - Mandy2009

I've been on 2 mg of Abilify for about 2 and a half months and it has really helped. I have severe panic attacks, OCD and depression. With my OCD I count and I really haven't been counting the past several weeks. Also, I haven't been depressed but my panic attacks have come back - I think I need my meds tweaked. I never experienced any side effects though. Oh yeah, I take Abilify with 30 mg of Lexapro. Hope you start feeling better soon! Good Luck!!! - Aurora86

I tried taking Abilify for about a month and the side-effects were too much for me, but it is suposed to be well tolerated so it may work for you. The atypical anti-psychotics leave me with the anxiety but take away my energy. I went from having my usual nervous energy that would always get me through the day to being almost unable to complete a days work. the panic attacks also increased in frequency. I have also found that this class of drug causes me to experience what are refered to as earworms, which is the occurance of getting a song stuck in your head that literally could last for days.
However, I have read of a lot of people having very good results with Abilify, and as I said, it is suposed to be well tolerated, so it may work well for you. If it does not, make sure you wean yourself off slowly.
I wish you the very best of luck with this!

I took it with cymbalta, but there was no change so my doctor discontinued both. We are trying a new combination! - Julz
