Hello everyone. I am new to this and I wanted to tell my story. I always had a little anxiety here and there, my first panic attack happened while on vacation in 9/07. My baby was born last summer. There were some complications with her after she was born, and she was hospitalized for a month after her birth. We had also found out that she had Down Syndrome. So all of this, then my dog (whom I had for 13 1/2 years) was very sick, couldn't get up anymore, so I had to lift her and carry her around. So when we went on our vacation, I guess it all caught up w/ me. It started as dizziness, clammy hands, cold hands and feet, palpitations, Shortness of breath, tightness in chest, the whole 9 yards. I ran into the emergency room thinking I was going to die! I had 2 trips to ER, both diagnosed w/ Panic/anxiety disorder/attacks. I have not had a full blown panic attack in a couple months, but now am experiencing daily anxiety, lump in throat, racing heart, tightness in chest and hard to catch breath. It is so frustrating to me because I have my little daughter who needs me, and I'm feeling this everyday, it make's me feel terrible. I'm taking Buspirone, and Ativan when needed. I just pray every day that somehow this well lessen so I can enjoy my days more. Anyway, that's me. Everyone have a great day.
