Guess what I did? I am so bored sitting around applying for one job after another, that I actually went out and put my name down to volunteer at a local shelter to work in the kitchen, and to help handing out packages of food. I figured that not only will this work as a kind of therapy (by not allowing me to hermatise myself), it will also give me some skills and experience in areas other than admin, which I don’t want to return to. When I got there they were very friendly and while we sat and chatted for a bit I really wasn’t all that nervous, except for my sight going a bit weird, but I didn’t feel the need to get the hell out of there or anything so that’s a bonus. I will be working two days a week as soon as the police clearance check goes through, and I’m looking forward to this new opportunity.
