I already posted this in the forums, however I want to make sure that it is read so I am posting a personal blog about this as well. I need every single person on this site to read this and sign this petition.
In 2007, the 'artist' Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, paid local children to catch a dog from the street, Guillermo later confined him and tied him to a rope in an art gallery and began starving him to death.
For several days, the 'artist' and the visitors of the exhibition watched, emotionless, the shameful 'masterpiece' _base_d on the dog's agony, until eventually he died.
Does THIS sound like art to you?!!!!!!!
But this is not all... the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of Central America decided that the 'installation' WAS actually art, so Guillermo Vargas Habacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the Biennial of 2008.
WE CAN'T LET THIS HAPPEN! THIS IS HORRIBLE ANIMAL CRUELTY AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS IS NOT BEING STOPPED. WHERE IS THE ASPCA? WHERE IS ANYONE THAT IS HUMAN AND HAS A HEART?! This is an outrage! I have my art studio and my art history minor, THIS IS NOT ART! And to think, the only truely 100% loyal beings in our life are usually out pets. They genuinely and purely love us and would never disobey and/or betray us. Always loyal to the end, and THIS happens!? How..I'm heartbroken, I cried.
PLEASE, this isn't a hoax you can google the artists name, you can find video's on youtube that show pictures of this innocent animal. Please, Please I am begging of you, Please sign this petition. He has to be stopped. I'm begging of all of you. PLEASE :*(
