I am currently 15 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from panic attacks, depression, and just anxiety that is constant and does not go away. I been to all my doctors and the ER and they have done tests numerous times and everything turns out ok. My OB/GYN told me to see a primary care doctor since my condition wasn't pregnanct related and when I saw her she told me to get counseling, which I was looking into. But it was at the point where a counselor just was not gonna be enough. i was constantly feeling the anxiety, having panic attacks and crying and shaking uncontrollably for hours so I had to go to the ER once again. This time the doc gave me meds and I saw a counselor yesterday and my first visit with the Psychiatrist isn't until the 29th....AND RIGHT NOW AS I WRITE THIS I AM FEELING THE PANIC, I AM SCARED, AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. IM ALL ALONE. MY FAMILY IS IN ANOTHER STATE AND EVEN IF MY BOYFRIEND WAS HOME I WOULD STILL BE HAVING THE SAME FEELINGS. I just wanna know what to do and will this ever get better. Im trying to find other women in my area who are going through the same thing but i have had no luck

You and the baby are going to be fine.

This website is a great, supportive and informative community. I do have another for you - www.sidelines.org. It caters to high-risk/complicated pregnancies and will match you up with someone who has gone through similar circumstances to be your on-line Buddy.
Take some deep breaths, try some guided meditation or yoga (do I sound like ceejay yet?). Take a walk. Eat well and sleep well - what's good for you is good for your baby!

I have to say i can relate with you when i was pregnant my anxiety was the worse, specially because my 1st pregnancy I had a miscarriage so I was feeling anxious about not over doing or stressing too much cause I didnt want to miscarry again but I think that made my anxiety worse, I was seen a therapist but i felt worse everytime I went to see her. What i did do when i was pregnant was everytime i was feeling very anxious I would focus on baby stuff, like I would search for baby names, look for cribs, baby bedding, stuff to decorate the baby's room, just to get my head off the panic feelings, I did have my family near by so I know that made a difference however everytime I wasnt feeling myself I would call my sister that lives in Puerto Rico, and she was the one that used to make me laugh and kept my head busy until i felt better. I was working until I was 39wks and I almost lost my job because of my panic attacks, It is not easy I know that, but i was able to do it without medication everytime i took medication i felt worse, so i didnt want to take anything. My advice is to think about other things that make you happy like the baby your about to have, and used relaxation techniques and you will feel better, the anxiety doesnt go away completely but you may feel a whole lot better than before,I was pretty close to take medications because it would get pretty bad but eventually I learn to control it, and believe it or not the day I went into the hospital to have my baby, I had no anxiety what so ever and I felt better than ever after i had her, I do have my set backs once in a while but I have been able to cotrolled my anxiety, and I'm thinking about getting pregnant soon, so i wish you the best of luck, I know how hard it is, and I hope you can find what works for you. If you need any advice free to IM me.
