... Hi Kels! There are some really helpful web pages on 'Family house rules' for children of different age groups. I printed off a heap and made up our own set and used them here. Set up a family meeting and discuss rules, rewards and consequences of inappropriate behaiour. Get feedback from your daughters too. It can be a positive thing to discuss your expectations and theirs. When you read what other families and parenting organisations have decided upon as house rules too, it gives you confidence to enforce your rules. Kids would have us believe that we have it all wrong! You don't! You love them and want them safe but independent. Good luck Kels! Leah xxx |
