Throw me into a life or death situation and I'll freak! For example: hospitals!! No thank you! Anyway, I called my mom this morning to see how she was feeling because she felt fluey yesterday, and she was crying. Panic #1! When I asked her what was wrong, she said she'd call me back. Panic #2! I finally got it out of her before she hang up. She was headed to the emergency room because she had 2 symptoms of a stroke. Panic #3! She said she'd call me and keep me posted. I sat and waited and waited. Panic #4! FINALLY, she called and THANK GOD, she told me she was going to be fine and that she just had some sort of virus that was attacking her nerves. (she had woken up with the left side of her face numb). The moral of today's story is, being an anxious person by nature, I did VERY well today with staying positive and strong. I didn't have any attacks or anything. Normally, I could have fallen to pieces and been curled up in a corner, having the panic attack of my life and being scared to death. I kept thinking, PLEASE be okay mom (well duh) and I was praying that she would come home cuz to see her in the hospital would have sent me over the edge. I can't handle that kind of stress. THANK YOU GOD for making my mom okay and giving me the strength to be strong during such a trying time.
