Not a good day. Started all right, but after lunch my daughter got a migraine. She went to her bedroom. I heard a thump. She had collapsed on the floor - couuldn't move, speak or see this time. She was so scared she was hyperventilating too. I held her and calmed her. After about 1/2 hour she started to make sounds. When her speech came back she was saying "Help me, Mummy. Help me". There was nothing I could do but hold her until she recovered enough to help me get her on the bed.
I called the doctor. He gave her painkillers for the headache but said it will take a few days for her system to recover from this one, so the tests can't start yet. Maybe next week, So no medication until then either and no way of knowing if what happened today will happen again tomorrow.
Tonight she wanted to talk to her best friend, but her phone was ringing unanswered. On calling her friend's parents she found out that her friend had been driving on the motorway when there was an electrical fault. Her car stopped and others rammed into it. Being the front vehicle, her friend was luckily unhurt, but her car is a total loss.
I thank God that both girls are safe in their own beds tonight; and I pray for a better day for them both tomorrow. I don't know how I am. Just on autopilot I think. Crying inside for my lovely daughter and feeling very helpless. Not panicking but maybe too calm. I don't know how to deal with this. I just pray for me to have the strength to help my daughter through.
Wish we were all closer - I could really do with a group hug from you all right now. Hope your day has been good. Whatever - we have SURVIVED it! xxx
