I forgot to put the soap suds in. So the washing's been done twice. It's baked potatoes supper time, So why've I soaked the rice? -
The milk is in the cupboard And my purse is on the stair. TV remote's gone missing It'll turn up Lord knows where. -
I used to make up ditty's for My daughter as a child. She'd solve the rhyme to win a prize. My prize was when she smiled. -
Now she's ill and coming home She wants her Mum she says. I wait to see and touch her face Two more eternal days. -
Terror lies within my heart. So I pray that by God's Will She'll mend to live a happy life And be here a long time still.
