Joy of completion (with a little procrastination)
(Saturday, 12 January 2008) Written by earthmama

I have been frustrated lately, starting so many projects and never finishing them.  Today I finished three that had been hanging over me...

1.  Cleaned off  spray snow from windows and put the screens back up.

2.  Put up basketball goal (and accepted help from a neighbor when offeredWink!)

 3.  Finished a photo quilt that I started in 2006!  It is now hanging up - it has pictures of the kiddos as babies and some of their clothing as well.  I probably spent at least 4 -5 hours on it today.

Of course, instead of focusing on the accomplishement, I am focused on the mess around me now that happened while I was crafting.

I choose now to change my thinking.

I was so excited to get the basketball goal...I am so excited.  My hubby tried to set it up before he left (we got it from a friend, no directions), but he said we were missing pieces.  Guess what?  We weren't - it was just a puzzle - and I am good at puzzles.  In fact he called just after, and I was able to tell him all about it.  He was very proud of me.  He always likes to hear when I am self-sufficient.  I think it makes him feel less guilty about being gone so muchTongue out

I am not going to stress about what is left to do, and focus on the things I crossed off today!

:) Way to go!!! I often think that if I can do just three things a day that are half-finished I would have everything done in less than a month!! LOL! :grin

Definitely a day for feeling good!!

That is so great Earth Mama. I know where you are coming from. My head is always filled with all of my half finished projects. Last week I made a short list of things to do and the list helped keep me on rack and I actually did them. Yeah for us. lamy
