Finally took my GED test this weekend !!! :) 2 Weeks, 4 Days ago
For years my anxiety has been really bad.It even forced me to drop out of school which i've hated myself for ever since i did it but it like pretty much took over my life.So 3+ years go by and i'm 20 years old cant find a job and cant get myself to take ged classes because of my anxiety that seems to hit me every time i leave the house. That is until the end of march my mom got sick and i had to go to the emergency room w/ her at 4am. I had never been that scared in my life everything started running through my mind. What if somthing happened to her and she was seriously sick and what would i do not being able to support myself. So i decided i better try to fight through my anxiety and get my ged so i can have a future of my own.It turns out (thank god) that my mom wasnt seriously sick afterall. The Drs diagnosed her w/ panic attacks and anxiety so as much as that isnt a good thing me and her can talk about it alot easier now that she knows how i feel.Anyway I went back to classes the end of march and i just took my GED test this weekend and i'm awaiting my results.I cant tell you how amazing it feels and its like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Good for you!!! I had a terrible time with high school. I was having panic attacks every day and it made me unable to go to school. I just couldn't face sitting in class having attack after attack. I eventually stoped going to school and was able to get a toutor that came to my house a few times a week. I made it through all the exams jounior yaesr and returned to school for the most paet of my senior year. I did graduate on time with my class. And as I walked across the stage with my class mates I had a panic attack! But somehow I did it.
Good for you!! I know how hard it can be. You are on your way!! Keep it up!!

Congrads on your degree, you got your High School Degree!!! You can now say proudly that you are high school graduate.
I was somewhat in your shoes when I was in high school, my father passed away 1 week before high school and the whole freshman year I was horrible, sick, didn't go to school on days, but thank god my father was well know in town and I had good teachers, principal who lived down the street, a school secruity guard was a friend of my father, they all allowed me to do what I needed freshman year. I made it through that year and moved on.
Good luck in your future, now it is time to go to college!!!! You may want to try on-line courses. Many really good colleges offer these, you can take them when you want, you can take the class at 3 am if you want, do not have to wake up at 7 for a 8 am class. My wife took many for her masters and they work.
