How has this site improved your life? 1 Month ago
Personally, before I found this site I was feeling pretty hopeless about everything. But joining this site and reading posts and advice from others going through the same things has really changed my way of thinking! I have been inspired to start working on myself and trying additional coping techniques that I blew off before. I actually feel like this site has given me so much hope that I can do things to help myself. I wake up every morning now in a great mood! Well, maybe not every morning, lol.
It is amazing to me that having a place to visit that is filled with people going through the same things can be such a comfort! Really, I want to thank those that built this site and maintain it! It is a informative and comforting place to visit. And it seems to be filled with wonderful and caring people!
I thought it might be interesting to hear how this site has improved your lives in a positive way.

This site has helped me practice and get better at expressing myself!

It has given me the opportunity to exist in give and take relationships regarding panic.

It's taught me that I'm not alone - and that has been huge!

This site has given me the chance to get into confrontations and not trigger Panic!! It has taught me that I have a voice and I can use it - I can be kind and I can be firm!

It has brought me into contact with some of the nicest people I've ever met, and for that I'll be eternally grateful!

p.s. I moved this thread so that if someone wanted to talk about the "before" and after they could do so without crossing the NO ANXIETY line of The Oasis Pub!

This site is so amaing. I never would have believed that simply finding others who know and understand what I have been through and still go through at times would mean so much---IT DOES. It is wonderful to be able to read someone's words and know that others feel exactly as I do and understand. It is great to get advice and feedback and gain new perspectives on many things about anxiety and panic as well as life's many ups and downs!!!

I am so thankful for the site and the many wonderful people here. lamy
